Delivery receipt

(VIth Century AD)

A receipt issued by Theodoros, bishop of Pentapolis, to the monks of the convent (tabennesiotikos) of Pouinkoreus, in the Hermopolite nome of the Thebaid. He has previously bought from them, and paid in advance, 1500 knidia of wine, which have just been delivered to him at Alexandria. He gives them a receipt, and cancels the note signed by them, which acknowledged their debt. Belongs to the archive of Dioscoros.
