Letter from Apollonios to Zenon (November- December, 253 B.C.) Zenon is ordered to prepare the fittings for the galleys called taurokerkouroi, while Theon will put them on board a boat and bring them down the river. He must expedite the work, for an urgent message has come to Apollonios to set about the dispatch of the galleys to Alexandria in preparation for the up-voyage of the king's daughter.
