Tax-list

(Late 2nd or early 3rd century)

Fragment from the middle of a column of a taxing-list, recording payments by inhabitants of Oxyrhynchus, who are classified according to merismoi of their amphoda, for, probably, poll-tax and pig-tax. The entries, besides being divided by paragraphi, have a marginal cross against them, indicating that payment had been made. On the verso is a fragment of a comedy (P.Oxy. XI 1400).
